Could be worth a try. Midweek attendances will always be less, I suspect, but some may attend who watch European games on tele Tues to Thurs

For me personally I think it's great; good start to a week and all that.

Especially if we've most likely played the previous Saturday, takes some of the yearning off if you get me.

Don't think the players would be too happy about it though?

I personally think people are used to it being Tuesdays so keep it that way it might be worth a try I guess although if we've had a very lengthy journey on a Saturday say if we were to play somewhere like Truro playing on a Monday might actually be a disadvantage.

I would have thought that having 24 hours less recovery time for players would mean that squad size would have to increase by 20-25% and would also mean that a settled team is less possible

Yes, it has the advantage of avoiding European nights on tv, but I'm not sure that the potential advantages outweigh the potential costs. The only away ground i remember going to a Monday night was Northwood who (I think) were ground sharing at Harrow and Wealdstone. In fact, ground sharing would seem to be the only credible reason for playing on a Monday evening (excepting Bank Hols and an end of season fixture pile-up)

Maybe Wednesdays would of been better, gives them more time to rest after Saturday, although it does give them less time to prepare the next Saturday game. :-\

Again pros & cons; would avoiding the clash with footy on tv really get more people through the gates midweek after a day's work?

20 people? 30? At a push, 50? An extra £400 to the club is great, but again, I don't think the players would appreciate.

Will be very interesting to see how Gresley get on

It only ever used to be Kidderminster who played on a Monday but I don't know what their rationale was.
I always assumed that it was so they could use the leftovers of everbody's Sunday dinners to make their legendary soup.

Oh for the pre-floodlights days and the magic of a 4.30pm FA Cup replay against Worcester...
