Seriously Now...

Talking to Guesty earlier about "The Big News" and thought I'd start a thread that I'd like opinions on.
I'd like to list the following:

- JH's first proper season in charge with his players that he has scouted and signed
- The return of The Messiah
- A much-needed face-lift and re-branded Shed End which looks bloody fantastic (although I will miss the air conditioning)
- Decent players staying loyal to the club after talk of them going (Bren, Aaron, JMG, etc.)
- Hopefully a dressing room spirit carried over from last season
- New away kit (rumour is it's our fave)
- Extra facilities added to the ground
- Causeway United playing down The Grove again

All the above are obvious positives but do you really feel that Yeltz have redeveloped to the point where this is the start of a new era?

In my mind it is; don't forget in August 2012 nobody would have predicted that we'd miss out on the Play Offs by goal difference... surely next season will be better?

I'm confident it will be, and although JH has himself stated that league is harder this year with the addition of other clubs, I think we'll do well.

There's now a vibe around The Yeltz and I am genuinely excited for the new season; you've probably heard it all before pre-season but Halesowen Town FC are on the up, no doubting that.

Thoughts?

I do think that things are starting to change for the better and that maybe the yeltz are entering, as you said,a new era. It's looking good. All we need now is a few more supporters coming through the gates and we're in a good place ;)

team spirit is just as important off the pitch, and the team of volunteers/organisers have have such a great spirit, working hard to make the ground a better place, lots of improvements some of which supporters wont even notice..plumbing, changing rooms, DJ`s door! etc...thanks to all those people who are giving the grove such a lift and by the look of the players john and his staff are bringing together, it seems that we will have the team that all the hard work deserves

Unbelievable developments overnight. Wow.

However, I'm reserving judgement until I hear Mr Avery's pronouncement.

Any chance of a reprise of your mid-90s pre-season catchphrase Andy?

For those who have memory loss -or just don't know - can you elucidate on this, please?

I'm hoping with every fibre of my being that Mr Avery will provide the four words that I'm looking for...

must admit I've got my eye on promotion now. but wont be to upset if this isn't achieved as I feel we are going about our business the right way. I remember going to the hendesford game out of an morbid curiosity thinking it was our last ever game as HTFC. Now I haven't felt so positive for a long time. even feel a little confident we may win an fa cup game. just hope we can get our gates up now with all this positivity .
