Good Evening All.

It has been very pleasing and interesting to read and find out about the YELTZ. On my doorstep yet I will admit to having tunnel vision towards Birmingham City. Time has come to say no more and start following a club which seems to have caring owners and people that want the genuine BEST for the club.
I have made contact with a lady called Sarah and she has put me on the right path regarding a season ticket. Which I look forward to purchasing and getting down to the Grove.
Accept my apologies over the next 2 questions.
Firstly do you need to be a member of the Yeltzbar?? If so does your season ticket gain admission??
Secondly would like to become a member of the Trust - whats the easiest way please.

The Yeltzbar is member-based and a small fee is required for membership, message John Stokes (Johnny Bud on here) for details
The Yeltz trust to my knowledge is in the capable hands of Dave Atkinson (sprout on here)

I can guarantee a welcome to the club as I've only been following them for a season and a half and am also getting a season ticket.

We'm a bit yampy, but we make it worthwhile

Looking on the website makes me feel like a school kid again when I was able to go down St Andrews on starting work with my own money.
Birmingham will always be in my blood but the owners are a shower of shite and the club will end up back where Ken Wheldon put it.
Anyway onwards and upwards with the Yeltz. Looking forward to the new season and hope the play offs at least can be achieved.
Looking at the lad who has left for Solihull looks a major loss though. Bet you all loved watching him notching those hat tricks.

What sort of following does the team get away from home??

In terms of the trust we have changed the membership year to start from the 1st of September this year. I'll post full details on here shortly, but forms are likely to be available at the start of August

We do get a decent away following considering the size of the club with an average gate of over 200. Especially for the local matches you would expect to see around 30 odd away fans.

Make sure you make yourself known when you come to the ground. I will be the one selling the season tickets. ;-)

I bet there will be a few Blues/ Wolves and even Villa fans buying tickets this year.

It will soon be in your blood. I was an Albion nut way back in my teens and early twenties. One day back in 1983 I couldn't get a ticket for a particular match and a mate suggested going to watch Halesowen in the FA Vase.
I had never heard of Halesowen Town or the F A Vase, and further non league football was a mystery to me, as my only knowledge of it was the strange results and tables on the back of the Argus (no Internet back then)
Well I went to that match and enjoyed it so much that I never went back to the baggies.
OK the quality of the footie is a different level, but I soon realised this was being played by blokes like me with full time jobs and only paid a few quid, but with a passion not seen in the pro game.
But the attraction for me wasn't just the football....I felt I belonged to a family. You could chat to the players in the bar....you soon got to know supporters by their first names....but most importantly all the fans were there to enjoy the occasion with no signs of the Neanderthal idiots that frequent the pro game who feel that 'supporting' a team involves baiting opposition supporters. You'll soon know what I mean when after a game on a cold November afternoon, win lose or draw you go into a club at an away game and easily fall into a chat with opposition fans and even players.

I do get a good feeling from what I read and obviously the Yeltz is very dear to you all.
It wont take me long to get hooked I am sure. The away days sound good. The bloody miles I have done with Birmingham (unreal). Losing 5-0 at Rotherham and being knocked out of the FA cup down at Torquay 3-0 still give me nightmares.
At least the guys who pull on the Yeltz shirt will be trying their best as a passion running down through their vains. Pro footballers piss me off.

Always a joy to welcome a blue nose. Feel free to join me in the banter against those who shall not be named from across the city! It happens quite regularly on here despite our joint love of The Yeltz. Its all in good fun though and some of them will even still talk to me come the next match.
