His future may be elsewhere - and he deserves whatever his talent brings him.

Tick Tock only time will tell.
Lets enjoy him and get behind him whilst he is here.

Agreed, no one can tell Ben what to do. So only time will tell what his decision will be.
I do however, along with everyone who posts on here (I assume) hope that Ben will decide to stay for next season as John Hill will have a whole summer to build 'his' own team. I know that we have struggled to get a striker in before the deadline but this will obvioulsy change over the summer.
Ben has already scored 47 goals in 59 games so if he stays, who knows how many he will be able to get in the future.
The fans love him, he looks happy playing for us and is hungry to play/score. Fingers crossed we can keep him.

Let's hope that he stays.
But, if he goes, would we get a fee?
I guess his contract finishes when the season ends so he would be able to move for nothing. But how did it work with others who we sold for a fee at the season's end - Deano, Andy Pearce, Jimmy Rod, Flynny?

I didn't realise he was 27. Think at that age he should be at a club where he knows he will get regular games, goals, and the fans love him.

Those were before Bosman after which players became entitled to freedom of movement at end of contract?

He'll be here next season.
Put yourself in his shoes:
Playing at a club where he's scoring for fun
Adored by the fans and management
Regular starting XI
Hardly ever subbed
Enjoys his football
Doesn't seem to be bothered by financial gains because of decent job
Doesn't like travelling
At an age now where he realises he's at his peak and won't do any better playing for a club 2 divisions higher
Very quickly becoming a legend
... and all within two seasons.
Why should he go?

No need to worry, then!
