Re: Senior Cup Draw
LLL,is there anything we can stump you with? This wealth of facts and knowledge is something else. Its such a shame that circumstances have made you choose a path away from this once great club. Everyone's a loser.

Doc, it has to be him ....

I clearly remember after he'd come on as sub in this match. Our promotion push was on, very late on Deano made a strong run down the left, got to the byline and crossed into the goalmouth where Tony Edwards missed from inches/feet out. Vital points dropped and, although we soon went down to Gloucester and came away with a memorable 2-1 win, promotion was on hold until the following season.
Tom Caughey could be the other one on your mind Doc?

Re: Senior Cup Draw
With the benefit of sobriety I can think a bit clearer about all these hopeless forwards.
Tommy Caughy was the bloke who shared a lift with Deano, Johnathon Farmer was the one we paid £1000 for (maybe still our record fee paid?) and the name that I'm trying to fish out of everyone is Calvin Guest.
All very much in the chocolate fireguard envelope.
I'll throw in Stan Jones, Ray Anslow and Colin Robinson for good measure too...

Re: Senior Cup Draw
How did we always seem to have such a good side over those years? Poor old Paul Joinson was carrying some carthorse alongside him quite regularly when you think about it. Then again he and Lee just used to play it between themselves, didn't need anybody else.
Just the thoughts of a brummie.....
PS Ken. I think you should bring some cake this afternoon after bandying around such insults. Welsh cake preferably.

Re: Senior Cup Draw
You're right Andy, Paul Joinson regularly had someone called Jeff Cott alongside him I recall (
) . If only There's No Comparison or Ben10 had been around at that time, we might have had a decent side.

Re: Senior Cup Draw
I think to be fair we always did have a good side despite certain individuals. Now the Joinsons and Ben 10, what a mouth watering prospect that would have been!
