Re: Going south?
I would prefer to stay North.
Do not care if we play Leamington or not.
Been some fantastic away days last season up North.
Agree put Astro kids Sutton and Bedworth in Southern league. Hate Suttons stinking rubber pitch.

Re: Going south?
Bedworth have won promotion after the play offs. So the north south question is in the balance.

Re: Going south?
Can only see two logical options
1; Barwell and Bedworth go south, especially with local opponents in Leamington, and reasonable access to St Neots Cambridge etc
2 The number 9 derby takes place in the southern league.
Could see no reason why Sutton will not stay north geography (closeness to Rushall) will count, plastic pitch won't.
However last year everything changed due to Worksop resigning one event nobody predicted.

Ever increasing amounts of 3G pitches in our leagues.
Sutton, Bedworth, Merthyr all three will have them at our level this season coming...

Seems to be the way forward with our level. Said before I don't necessarily like them, but they have good points too.yeltz85 wrote:Ever increasing amounts of 3G pitches in our leagues.

For me football should be played on grass.

Re: Going south?
it now looks increasingly likely that we will avoid all the plastic with us and Stour favourites to move darn sarf ..not sure if this will work as a link but I'm sure Guesty can correct it :-)RaidenYeltz wrote:Seems to be the way forward with our level. Re: Going south?
And drawing on a positive (which are few and far between when considering the Southern League option) having Clarkie as assistant manager may work in JH's favour regarding his knowledge of that league.
A drawback seems to be their organisation of re-arranging games....... Dorchester on a damp cold Tuesday night in February springs to mind!

Stratford Town now play at a new ground, was Matt Clarke with us when MM had our full time training there? Are they owed money?
