I thought you'd have preferred the orange group. A lot in your neck of the woods.

Re: Restart
To be ratificated today. https://twitter.com/Ollie_Bayliss/statu ... 83394?s=20
This stage is always just a rubber-stamp, so we should get confirmation tomorrow. But that'll only be the process, not the detail, so it'll be some time yet before we see if we're in a new league. The FA Council meets today to decide plans to elevate 110 clubs at Steps 5-7.
The plan would rank clubs at Steps 5&6 based on PPG from the 19/20 & 20/21 seasons.
If Council members vote to approve the proposal, eligible clubs will then be invited to apply for ‘upward movement’.

I hope this proposal lasts longer than the Super League fiasco!YeltzDoc wrote: ↑22 Apr 2021, 11:57To be ratificated today. https://twitter.com/Ollie_Bayliss/statu ... 83394?s=20This stage is always just a rubber-stamp, so we should get confirmation tomorrow. Re: Restart
Slight update to the best guess at next year's leagues at our level, given the now published FA lists of who can apply to come up - https://twitter.com/Ollie_Bayliss/statu ... 76389?s=20

We're still in the Pie League instead of the more quinoa-based shenanigans of the last couple of years.

Re: Restart
I might be in a minority, but in this case, I prefer quinoa to pie and not just because of easier access for me. There are some even more uninspiring places for a day out in that Pie League.YeltzDoc wrote: ↑27 Apr 2021, 12:18Slight update to the best guess at next year's leagues at our level, given the now published FA lists of who can apply to come up - https://twitter.com/Ollie_Bayliss/statu ... 76389?s=20

Re: Restart
Paul Smith is taking us, possibly to places we have never been before, Newcastle and North End
not Newcastle United and Preston North End; but Newcastle Town and Glossop North End.Yet this
may not be totally true, as I seem to remember a game against Newcastle Town way in the past!
Statisticians books at the ready, no cheating referrals to Ask Jeeves!!!

Re: Restart
We played Newcastle Town in the FA Cup last season (we won 2.1). We’ve had so few games since it’s still on the first page of the ‘match updates’ part of this site! Also, I think they were in our league the year we got promoted last - but I might be wrong with that one!
