I really believe that With the work being done within the club at the momemt, and by the trust (ground improvements are on the way to being funded) the community will soon start to see a club that is willing to put something back, a d start to support us more!

We are on the way back, but this is just the start of a long hard road and both club and trust will need all the hp we can get over the summer months, so please be there to support us if you can

We can only move forward with your help

I am glad the vast majority of people on here don't have your attitude ! People like you really annoy me, waving the white flag, isn't it better to do what we can to get this currently (as you put it) SMALL club back to where it was, rather than having the "I can't be arsed to put any effort in or any positive ideas" into the club. If it was that good at Stourbr*dge then bloody well go there instead, while the rest of us get HTFC where we belong!

Lord Lutley I would love to come to more matches but as I work alot of hours and have a disabled son who needs constant care I do not get the opportunity to come down I cannot throw money at the gateman.

I used to help on the ground when I could, I created a DVD and donated all proceeds to the club. I voice an opinion about why the gates have gone down etc and get demonised for it. I support Halesowen Town and always will but how often i come down is my business not anyone elses.

Anyway heres for a good end to the season and maybe see some of you when I can get down.

Whilst sympathising with your personal circumstances Changey, I cannot agree that you have expressed an opinion as to the reasons for falling gates - your posts seem to relish rubbing salt into the wound of the situation that HTFC finds itself in.

Totally agree with Sprout.

While in the eyes of some, the point that we should be pleased just to have a club may be wearing thin, that's exactly what we should be pleased about, this season was never going to be easy on or off the pitch because our club had been dismantled, it will take time to put it back together. Bit by bit we are getting there, we can only make a full recovery IF we all pull together.
As pointed out on here, some have drifted away, lost interest, that's always the way with football supporters and you always have to take account of the fact some will drift to where the latest sniff of glory is, HTFC have benefited from this in the past (remember 1000+ crowds), but this club has a bigger hard core support than most others in the area, it is no good living in the past, 3 visits to Wembley wont help us now, we cant rebuild the club based on what help anyone has given in the past ( as laudable as it may be). HTFC has a proud history but it's what we do NOW and in the coming years that will keep this club alive.

Just ask yourself what a football club is, it's not the owner/players/manager, they all come and go (and we have had our fair share of that in the recent past), a football club is the supporters, it is only as strong as the supporters, its success depends on the backing given by its supporters, we currently have an owner who has stuck to his word from day one, HE needs the backing of the supporters.Steve quite rightly never promised a crock of gold to take us to premiership (although it currently costs him heavily to keep the club on a life support machine) only for the funding to suddenly be removed and another battle to save it to begin, Steve has always said the club must at some point become self sufficient. HTFC will find its level based purely on the strength of the support and the local community, if REAL apathy sets in then all those who have and are currently working to rebuild the club may as well put their feet up.
