Re: 2025-2026 predicted leagues
Under the old system there used to be 3 divisions below what is now the National League Premier. They were at level 2 in the pyramid. They were Southern Prem (which we were a member of), Northern Prem and Isthmian Prem( basically London centric). Since the National league is now expanded with 2 feeder divisions, the 'Premier' divisions are now at level 3. To have 4 teams relegated from each of the National leagues at level 2 (north and south) 8 teams needed to be promoted. Thus a 4th division at our level. As the Southern League covered such a massive area (we travelled through the entire Isthmian League region to reach many games) the league was split in 2(SLM & SLS)
But at the end of the day we are just now a Midland division.

Yer ta. My thinking was it would be better all round if our 'midland' league could be expanded by even more midland clubs, a wider midland radius and the far east (lol) clubs could somehow be dropped to other leagues. I guess essentially that is what we would all want and it obviously depends on up and coming relegation and promotions. A midland league say not further than Gloucestershire up to say Nottinghamshire would be great.
This:-
The Midlands correspond to the ceremonial counties of Derbyshire, Herefordshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Rutland, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands and Worcestershire.

Not sure where the Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire etc teams could go then though. The boundaries of every division have to be constantly redrawn to accommodate the teams at the level. We are located in a position where we are on the periphery of our league so longer journeys are always going to happen. If we want the ideal midland division then we would have to be relegated a couple of leagues I'm afraid.

Ah yes those glorious trips. 2 hours to the Isthmian borders, an hour to travel through it, then spend another two hours out the other side of it to the coast to Dover, Folkestone, Hastings, Sittinbourne etc….we used to call the Isthmian the “back home in time for tea” leagueandy wrote: ↑04 May 2025, 18:08Under the old system there used to be 3 divisions below what is now the National League Premier. At least we won't have to endure the pathetic charade of trying to get tickets off telfords inadequate website. Although having said that we will probably draw them at their place , in the fa cup and the fa trophy.

I much preferred their system to "collect in person from Yeltz bar from between 6pm and....".
On that subject surely given the upturn in attendances and interest the club should be thinking about an online ticketing system? Even Rushall have one despite attendances of around 400! But I would guess that this is a NLNorth requirement in their case.

Step 1 Map
Step 2 Map
Step 3 Map
Step 4 Map
Which basically currently gives this (assuming highest placed teams in play offs still win their games):-
AFC Sudbury
AFC Telford United
Alvechurch
Banbury United
Bishop's Stortford
Bromsgrove Sporting
Bury Town
Corby Town
Halesowen Town
Harborough Town
Leiston
Needham Market
Quorn
Real Bedford
Redditch United
Royston Town
Rushall Olympic
Spalding United
St. Ives Town
Stamford
Stourbr*dge
Stratford Town
More as and when it happens, not that I like doing this of course
Alvechurch
Banbury United
Bishop's Stortford
Bromsgrove Sporting
Bury Town
Halesowen Town
Harborough Town
Kettering Town
Leiston
Needham Market
Quorn
Real Bedford
Redditch United
Royston Town
Rushall Olympic
Spalding United
St. Ives Town
Stamford
Stourbr*dge
Stratford Town
Worcester City
Following the Step 3 / 4 play offs, this is the current prediction, sure to change slightly. The potential for Worcester to go South with Evesham, and also Hednesford and Rushall to go North, as well as Bury / Bishops Stortford to go Isthmian, all to be confirmed around 16th May 2025 if it follows last year
