And, with a bit of data manipulation, I see we'd be the same in a PPG table too.
Of course, what it really needs is a coefficient that takes into account the level of the opposition, perhaps a modifier of 0.2 per level up or down.
That would be a proper table.
Wanders off whistling, in the knowledge that HH's work productivity for the rest of the day will be zero.

Just one odd pre-season game at Mickleover the night before the season starts before I can work out the co-effients................

That’s a mad one isn’t it? A big match against Derby the night before a big trip to St Ives on the Saturday. And the Rams themselves have Wigan at home.
I suppose the gate money will be half decent, and you’d not turn it down, but it’ll end up being the two youth teams.
