According to a page on the Guiseley site about their trip to BPA at

New pitch side perimeter fencing has been installed at BPA to allow you stand even closer to the action than ever before.
Hopefully that'll make Westy a bit happier

It seems that "closer" is a relative term.

The chap behind the goal line has got the best idea for a decent view. He's off to sit in his wheelbarrow.

Hastings! The Pilot Field had the remnants of a track around it if memory serves.

Indeed it still does of sorts, it was like a dirt track. And around the outside of the pitch!!!

That's not pitch side fencing, that's the storage area for the hurdles !
