Looking forward to this!

We've nothing to lose, they'll not be 'up for it' as they'll have other priorities, probably even rest a few regulars. I guess a lot of their supporters will be complacent, maybe not even go at all and be dragged around the shops by their wives and girlfriends.

Win, and give the players a night out in Newcastle for their Christmas night bash!

Come on!!!!... Hawayyy the Yeltz!

As someone has already stated, it does have the disadvantage of a running track around it like Grantham this Saturday.

Their crowds have improved over the last couple of seasons. The average last year was 885 but they do seem to be getting crowds over 1000 this season. in 2012-13 the average was 502. They did do well in the league last season and made the conference play offs and had 8144 for their semi final 2nd leg against Grimsby.

I have been 3 times and the crowds have been 643, 1046 and 825. The 2 smaller crowds were both midweek.

The first time I went Gateshead said small away followings were accomodated in the main stand. For some reason, they had information that there were going to be 5-600 stags fans which was never going to be likely on a Tuesday night in December so we had to go and sit in the open on the far side in the wind and rain.

It is now covered on the far side where visiting fans are accomodated.

There is only one pub near the ground. If you go past the back of the main stand and into South Shore Road there is a pub called the Schooner. It does serve real ale and also reasonable food. It is only a few minutes walk from the ground.

In all fairness, that is because Gateshead is an athletics stadium with a football team as a tenant :) It also has the advantage of being very well sheltered from wind, if I recall correctly

Remember this well! Back when I was running the HalesowenTownFC Youtube channel, but I gladly handed it over to Matt and the other guys who are doing a far better job than I could

At times Caskey was a real joy to watch. I wonder if he's owed a bob or two?
