Maybe I could suggest some criteria?
* The chosen tune should be memorable so that it is easily recognised
* It must have already stood the test of time (see point one) so that it can be used for an extended period, rather than changed every year or so
* The recognizable theme contained in a short time span ie 3-4 lines to cover the time taken for the team to move from the tunnel to the half way line. This could be a chorus or an introduction
I like "the boys are back in town" myself as it meets all of the above

Thought of another one today that can get the players fired up and I can clip the vocal at the beginning to where the shouter says:

I was just thinking when the bloke reads out the team sheet and says 'please get behind your teams' and all that malarkey, 'hey Jude' should play and the fans singing 'nah nah nah nah, nah-na-na-nah, na-na-na-nah THE YELTZ!!!'
