John, Thank you for sharing your understanding of what is now likely to happen.
One question please, assuming that the league is frozen as you suggest until hopefully we can recommence in December, would player training etc be allowed to continue during November or are all activities likely to be locked down?
This obviously has impact on the player levels on the first game back whenever that may be.

At least we won't be disadvantaged, as every other team will be in the same boat.Seamus wrote: ↑01 Nov 2020, 12:01John, Thank you for sharing your understanding of what is now likely to happen.

Quite how JC makes any sense of the gobbledy gook from these people is beyond me.

Re: So, what now I wonder?
I think it’s almost certain that fans won’t be allowed and therefore fixtures will be paused until it’s safe to have restricted crowds again. Sad times.
There are a few quandaries that I can see:
- Firstly, what happens about training? If the players can’t train together in groups then this would make the interim period (and their return to playing matches) quite tricky.
- Secondly, what’s happening with the players on contract I wonder? I’m guessing they’ll be entitled to keep getting paid but this is tricky as the club have no revenue!
I hate to say it but I’ll be really surprised if we play another game this side of Xmas after Bedford.

Re: So, what now I wonder?
We will at some point be advised by League/FA as to what restrictions are imposed and at what level.
Training was allowed initially with restrictions before pre season games and league games started.
I honestly don't know what will be allowed.

No training.
Apparently DCMS have made an exception for Brad Catlow to run up and down the pitch from 15:50 to 16:00 every Saturday.

But apparently schools are exempted so just register our lot as overage students and they can use the college 4g ...simples ...

They saw this one coming (a good try though). Football in college and university settings is included in the ban.
On a wider note, I feel lockdown 2.0 is nothing like the original, because of the timing (start of the long evening) and the harsh reality that it could go on for months and months.
