I think he does enjoy football management and probably thinks he may be able to turn things around. Many manager's have times when they are losing week in week out. Perhaps if relegation did happen he may be the right person to gain promotion.

Do you honestly think he will be in charge next season if we are relegated?

Even these two must have the self respect to resign before getting sacked if relegation was to occur?

It does not bear thinking about having these two in charge for another year or more, the place will be desperate and on its knees.

Frightening.

He won't turn this around. It's gone now. As you know, I thought the warning signs were there three years ago. The decline was gradual for a while, and then it has gained pace dramatically over the last year or so. Therefore he wouldn't get the club back up.

It's different if you've had a manager until February or March say, they get the sack and then a new manager comes in. It's too late for them to save the club from relegation that season, but they have a freshness and a new energy to galvanise things and bring the club back up. Things have gone so badly for Hill now that he won't find a new 'energy' at Halesowen to be able to turn it around. I put energy in inverted commas because it's not just his energy, it's the energy the players feel from the manager, that translates to the fans etc. You need all of that to mount a challenge. The momentum is all in the wrong direction. JH has had a long, LONG time now to sort this out and it's getting worse, with no signs he can turn it around. When was the last time you could say 'yes, things are looking better now'? I mean consistently over a few weeks or months, not a last minute winner over Barwell or a win at Grantham weeks apart. Every team will get the odd win, so wins like that are irrelevant in the grand scheme of things

John and Matt have had ample time and enough playing staff to show signs of turning things around and it is very clear they don't have the ability to do so.

I admire fight but this is beyond the attitude of fighting now, the attitude needed from Hill and Clarke is 'sorry, we've let you down. We are stepping down to give our successors every chance of success'.

As for being the right people to bring us back up - what a negative attitude that is. We shouldn't even be talking about that...

They won't resign - and they certainly won't be removed. That has been made abundantly clear in the past.

The club have tweeted that today is Hill's five year anniversary since he took charge.

That will go down well.

His first game was on 2nd October. He actually officially joined us the day before on the Monday to be pedantic. ;)

He agreed to join the previous Wednesday before that..... I must get out more. :o

I know, I saw that too. The wording of the tweet is quite remarkable with things as they are at the moment. It's absurd

I don't suppose you would care to say who are would you? You've just joined and seem to be blindly backing Steve and John. Not that I'm the suspicious type.......

It's unlike the club to get our history wrong...
