Also, anyone know where the picture was taken?
Odd to have a team picture taken on an away ground.

Don't tell Andy, but his good young lady seemed to have been sneaking off to games with a 1970s pop star.

DJ, close but no cigar. It is me (midway from long hair to short hair) but that's not the good lady, its my ex!! Yes Kev Bissell is on there, not sure of others. Christ knows where it is. What a team though!!!!DJ wrote:Don't tell Andy, but his good young lady seemed to have been sneaking off to games with a 1970s pop star.

It looks to be season 1989-90, in which case perhaps the team photo was taken at an away ground when we won the Beazer Homes Midland Division for Press purposes? Promotion was won at Spalding and this was followed by away games at Willenhall and Grantham. However, Tim Langford featured in those three games and is not on the photo, so perhaps not. Or maybe it was taken earlier in the season around the time of the FA Cup game at Cardiff? Looking at the team line-ups also eliminates quite a few grounds (e.g. Tim Clarke didn't play in the early season and Graham Price only played in a few). From the line-up, fixtures and look, I'd suggest it has to be one of: Rocester, Banbury, Bridgnorth, Barry, Leicester Utd, Bedworth, Sutton Coldfield, Hednesford, Nuneaton, Stroud. Other possibles in the fixtures but looking doubtful to me are Kings Lynn, Bilston, Dudley, Wivenhoe (it doesn't look windy enough!!), Cardiff, Stourbr*dge, Sandwell Boro, Bromsgrove, Redditch, VS Rugby (as Steve Farmer played), Malvern (Tim Clarke didn't play and Andy Bradley did).

So, a point to DJ for recognising Andy and a massive two and a half points to Andy for recognising his ex-missus and Dale Mansell plus getting the year right.
Probably should give another point to Dave for the research and take one away from Brother Avery for not being the first to recognise himself.
And our mate TRM from up the road gets an away point for Bridgnorth. I can only ever remember watching a girl's lacrosse match on the school pitch behind the ground and the fact that it was always Red Stripe in the bar.

This leaves us with the two people behind Dale Mansell's head and the bloke between Rob Smith and Rhoder.
I'm fairly sure that I know two of them.
