As I recall the reason the ref was late was because it was an 11 o'clock kick off and he had been told 3 o'clock.....He turned up about 11.45 with his tea and toast in hand

If I remember correctly I believe his first goal was on his debut at Ilkeston Town in 2003 during a 3-1 win. A Southern Premier League (Step 2) game which today would effectively be at Conference North level.

actually I think there were 13 it was a great night I managed to get out of going to college on the Tuesday so we could stop the night I managed to persuade them it was a very important game!
