I think Colin did as well as could be expected in the circumstances, it probably wasn't an easy few minutes for him.
What can we learn from this experience? I'm interested to know.

In short, the nature of the studio panel - most of the time I have heard Colin B on the radio, it has been more measured or structured (straight Q&A). This seemed to have questions coming from more than one direction and from more than one person which is totally different to handle.

The first time in a situation, any situation, there is always a learning curve. However many times you have been interviewed, there will be settling in period with a new interviewer and in my experience this is far from easy (having to pick up diffent accents for example, which happended this morning). Live radio is the hardest medium too, fortunately most of the press stuff I have done has been for print which is lot less instant, and tv usually gives the opportunity for a second take.....

Just saying that a second time around he will have a better of idea of what to expect, so theres no need to be jumpy about it

I've heard a few Yeltz chants down the Grove, but I've never heard the one Colin Murray was singing ;)

I'm not being jumpy, just interested to know as everyone seems to have an opinion on this matter today which they are more than entitled to.

Just heard the interview, thanks for posting the link as I couldn't listen at work.

I think it was all a bit disappointing really, credit first of all for all concerned for getting the opportunity to speak on national radio and I thought Colin B did well considering what a piss poor broadcaster Colin Murray is. Any decent broadcaster would have asked more decent questions to the listening national audience such as;
"Do you have any players who have played in the league?"
"What players do you think might make it in the game?"
"What size of crowds do you get/are you expecting tomorrow?"

All I thought Murray wanted to do was have a laugh at us. As I say though, credit to those involved for getting us to that point, maybe with a superb presenter like Danny Kelly or Ian Danter the outcome might have been different.

I was appalled at the unprofessionalism in the studio but the bigger picture is that we got mentioned on national radio for our efforts and the website had that many hits it crashed.

We'll done to all involved.

I have just listened to the interview - Colin, I'm sorry that you had to put up with the childish, ill-informed tw@ts that purported to be broadcasters. Utterly incompetent - and patronising, to boot!

The fact that we have been mentioned on national radio - albeit Talkshite - is the only positive.

Well done Colin in the face of such puerile banter from the interviewers. Mind you anyone who has employed that bigoted idiot John Gaunt (remember him?), deserves to go down the pan.

after the interview there was 600 hits on our website in just 10 mins...it crashed! if some of the 600 come to watch tomorrow then who cares it wasnt `five live` style interview..if we win tomorrow then they want to follow us again and should bring more publicity...that is they DID want to....

Whilst I am not a fan of the BBC, in fairness to them you should realise that this was independent radio
