Surely by linking a live feed that would jeopardise the number of people wanting to pay and watch on the gate? A pal of mine follows Wisbech Town, they video all of the game and then show the goals afterwards on their website. Might this be a better compromise? I know the video of the game is then in turn, used for coaching analysis.BBNOW100 wrote:Great idea! I sometimes take my camera down to The Grove for some practice in my filming. I'll find out how to do YouTube live and maybe I could put it on there?Akschizoidman wrote:How about the possibility of rigging up a camcorder to video the game and linking it up to the website as a live feed/stream? What would be great but realise it's difficult / expensive

I think you would open up a whole host of issues there....Akschizoidman wrote:How about the possibility of rigging up a camcorder to video the game and linking it up to the website as a live feed/stream? Just an idea...

On a seperate note, would be great to show the goals after the game/ have interviews with the manager/players etc.
Its comes down to the same issue once again where we need a volunteer to take on the role etc. Can't rely on those that work so hard already.

From a personal point I'd love it. I know I'll make all the games I can - having attended 3 out the 5 home games this season - but It'd be great to get a stream when I can't make it - especially for away games.
I do see and understand how it would be seen as a negative move and maybe encourage potential fans to stay at home. However in some ways wouldn't having a stream showing Yeltz games may give more an opportunity to attract new fans? It makes following us more accessible doesn't it? Kind of like 'try us for free, see what you think?'!
I guess you have to get permission of Evostick and away teams when we play away. Seems more hassle than it's worth tbh!
Let's be honest there's no better alternative to going down the match and seeing it with your own eyes.

Agreed. I have no idea how much anything like that would cost and I bet there are rules stopping you. I dread to think the cost.RaidenYeltz wrote:From a personal point I'd love it. Re: What would be great but realise it's difficult / expensi
Having done a little research into this a while ago, I recall that the answer is that the copyright on league games will belong to the league and the copyright on FA Cup games belongs to the FA.
Streaming FA Cup games would probably constitute a televised games for the purposes of FA Cup rules which means things like sponsorship panels on substitue boards, any interviews have to have a branded background. There may we similar rules for league games with branded interview backgrounds etc.
Assuming that obstacles such as hosting server bandwidth and resilience can be overcome ( it costs a lot more ££) then the question of which site comes into play. If it was to be put on the club site, HTFC would be taking on board risks such as those outlined above.
All in all, I think that my Lord Lutley has called it correctly - turn up at the match if possible, else rely on the means currently available

Re: What would be great but realise it's difficult / expensi
It doesn't have to be a live stream, it could be edited after the game to show the highlights/goals and uploaded to YouTube. It could then be viewed on YouTube via a video link from "match updates" on the forum. That way any legalities are bypassed as it would be a YouTube video filmed by a "fan", not Halesowen Town FC. I'm sure a few people who, like me, would like to see Bens goal again! Don't get me wrong, there is nothing to replace watching the game live (i have been to all home games and several away this season so far). It would be interesting to "see that goal again, that bad tackle again, the bad decision made by the ref etc". I know teams in the league above who always video every game to analyse players performance, tactics etc after the game.
