Re: Seriously Now...
Hi All.
Reading the start to this thread from swipey really does make for a good feeling and a sense of confidence.
All his points are just what you need going into a new season.
I for one am looking forward to getting started down the Grove and it seems a real positive time for people like myself to give our alligence to the Yeltz.
Looking forward too tomorrow night and getting into the new season. Hopefully many more new fans will find their way down to the Grove.
Fingers crossed season tickets will be on the up and the club shop and bar find themselves with increased sales.
Marcus

Re: Seriously Now...
I'm relatively new to this non league football malarky, so it is hard to compare how things are now to how things were. That said, since going to Halesowen since February when I moved into the area I've really enjoyed myself. Friendly people, decent football with players and management clearly giving their all for the club and a real sense of community.
Obviously with the form picking up around this time this naturally helped but I've really quickly gained an affinity to the club I really enjoy the 'all for one spirit'. I sense this is why so many players have re-signed and can see what the gaffer is trying to do. It may not all go to plan and of course there will be ups and downs along the way.
I have to say though, I think many fans of our local professional clubs are getting disillusioned with the professional game and it's money orientated ways and I hope Halesowen can capitalise on that. The freebie against Causeway is a great idea and I'd love to see a huge crowd there to follow the team.
Many, many fans are moving away from the pro game, I really want to see Halesowen capitalise on that and almost be revolutionary in getting people through the turn styles. If I can help in anyway let me know.

Any chance of a reprise of your mid-90s pre-season catchphrase Andy?

Re: Seriously Now...
Hi All.
Thank You to everyone that made me feel welcome on Wednesday evening.
Swipey and Johnny Bud especially, made an effort to which I am grateful.
The place seems to have a positive feel about it and why not want/expect a great season ahead.
Guesty comes across with a passion that makes you feel the passion.
As before I hope that the season ticket sales exceed expectations and the bar and club shop sales BOOM.
Look forward to Stourbr*dge/Leamington (next games I can make)
Regards Marcus
