Barnfield - 2 goals for the club. Considering he was club captain and midfield this output is poor
Haseley - scored once against the top 7 teams in the league last season
I won't take credit for knowing those stats, and nobody wanted Ben to stop at the club more than me.
As for it being all murky behind the scenes I don't see it that way as that dressing room wanted to play for JH & the club - I honestly think that JH is having a clearout and bringing a load of players in that we'll be skeptical of at first because they will need time to gel.
I shouldn't put an omen on it but I hope Griffiths stays

Just got a wi if hotspot in Kos and read 'Ben only scored 1against the top 7 teams'. Nearly choked on this most acceptable local beer !!!! Whoever got that stat has obviously drunk more of it than me

Although we should be used to it by now, I guess the frustration is that whilst at the end of the previous season we could only think of about 2 players we would like to keep, this time many of us thought that as someone has mentioned, we had the nucleus of a good team to start with.
No problem with Ben going for ambitious reasons but the others seem to prove that they will kiss anyones shirt as long as someone else pays them and irons it. No loyalty at all these days, yet the players want the adulation of loyal fans - some good that does us?!
Any other players thinking of putting supposedly sincere 'thank yous' on this forum or Twitter and then disappearing shortly afterwards, frankly needn't bother.

without meaning to be controversial or cause a great fuss I think it's quite nice when players take the time to post messages of thanks etc we do not know the individual circumstances of players and the reasons why they may want to leave I do think it's nice and says a lot for how far the club has come in recent times that players feel the need to thank the supporters . Twitter and this forum are places where they can do this if they want to. I fully understand the frustration over departures but they have now happened. Speaking personally I'm looking forward to next season to see what happens.

Nucleus of a side missing?
Yes Haseley is a big loss, but he was also a freak at this level for last season, so I'll be happy if we get a couple of forwards in that can bag 15-20 each. Not an easy ask, but I imagine JH has his contacts (as was proved after he'd taken over).
Kelly? He got sent off many occasions and was slagged off royally on here. But he had improved on the field since JH took over. Ashame but players move on for other reasons than money.
Botfield is going due to personal circumstances, so you can't really argue with that.
Haseley has already been mentioned. Let's see if he hits it off at Solihull as you just never know. I'm disappointed it's to them and not to one of the 'stronger' Conf North sides like AFC Telford United, Leamington or Hednesford.
I think Barny is the one big disappointment from me, I'd like to know his reasons but I guess we never will.
Those left. Evans is a good keeper, Meacham proved he can be more than good enough at left back, Parker improved as centre half the more games he played. Eric Smith will be a big miss through injury so that's a tough replacement needed. Joe Hull, though, certainly proved he could play there even with 4 dislocated shoulders........! Aaron Griffiths is more than capable on his day as left midfielder / winger. Will Jean-Michel stay? He certainly improved over the season, although I'm still not convinced ;-)

Still we do miss him, that change to the back pass rule must have affected many players and Eric was never the same afterwards

Think HH means Bowen.
So, boiled down, it looks like there's a query as to why Barny has left. Every member on here knows someone associated with the club so we'll all get to know eventually, although courtesy will prevent it from getting on these boards.
My opinion is still that he thought that he'd done as much as he could for the club and probably thought he was leaving on a high after receiving his award; as said in a previous post, we don't actually know a player's circumstances.
I do, however, think this thread will be forgotten when JH brings in new players and they start to play a bit... my only worry is that to-date he has to replace at least 7 of the first squad, pressure's on...
