Let's not forget about Eastwood!

Post by Wheels » 02 Oct 2013, 15:42

With all the hullabaloo about the away game a week on Saturday I feel it is vital that the management and players don't look too far ahead and are fully concentrated and focused for this Saturday's match in the trophy. From what I understand there is some financial reward for getting through rounds of the trophy which although not as great as those on offer for winning FA Cup matches would still obviously be extremely valuable for the club. With the potential for two other games this week two wins would be a vital and provide momentum going into the match a week on Saturday.

Correct. Although not as much money involved everything we can get is vital! If we are able to beat Eastwood it potentially sets up a nice home tie with St Neots Town.

Indeed, there's more money to be won in the first two games in this competition than there was in the first two matches in the FA Cup. And Eastwood are on a dire run.

It's good wedge. £2700 plus half the gate.

So that'll be £2709.

And that's only because me and Joe are going.

Will my presence mean a "Hegemonic hat-trick"?

Very true, I also think we have the depth and quality of squad to sustain a good cup run and league campaign.
I wonder though if anyone from Halesowen has made the trip to Bridlington tonight to watch Marske United play?

I hope not, as that's a long way to go not to see a game........ they drew 1-1 at Bedlington Terriers last night. That's 2 draws and 21 wins since pre-season started.... the wheels are starting to loosen in time for us....... I hope!
