8/1? They havin' a laff? We must be about 100/1 to get through. The chances of beating two higher placed sides when the next two draws are made must be slightly higher odds than getting drawn against a same or lesser opponent in the final two rounds.
As well as actually beating Tipton. I know why I don't bet as much as I used to. Rip off merchants.

5/6 years ago we were able to regularly bet on our league results. I remember a 2-1 win at Hitchin being very lucrative.

Re: Yeltz to reach the First Round Proper?
I remember when we made the first round against Yeading and one betting website (won't mention names here but just picture Ray Winstone's fat head) were taking bets on first goalscorer.
Presumably due to some poor research or a slip on concentration they had listed Alex Cowley, who for the whole season had been playing right wing, at 50/1. He'd already scored 5 in the league and was all set to play, so it was quite clear that this was a good opportunity to take advantage.
Unfortunately I was at uni at the time and so my disposable income was pretty limited, but I did manage to wager a small amount (cutting back on super noodles and snakebite in the process), as well as putting on a few cheap bets for several friends too.
On to the game and I'm sure many will recall that Yeading sadly scored the first goal within five minutes and it was only a few minutes later that the mighty Halesowen equalised. Yes, it was of course Alex Cowley. So close! The Yeltz went on to lose 2-1 and we went home disappointed at our double misfortune.
So that was it- a story of hard luck, one that Halesowen Harry would no doubt ruefully shake his head at. I mean, can you imagine what would have happened if I'd have returned home and found out that the first goal was actually a Dave Haywood own goal and that they'd had to pay out on the second goalscorer?

The website I bet on that match through paid out on Alex Cowley being the 1st goal scorer
I'd presumed I'd lost the bet but when I checked my account a few days later my winnings were in there.

I'm seriously thinking about slapping £50 on the Yeltz on Saturday...
