Guernsey have 23 league games still to play, and had the worst result possible with a draw in the vase yesterday.
According to their site this is next weeks schedule
08 Fri 19:45 League Away Badshot Lea
09 Sat 19:45 Cup (FA Vase) Home Walsall Wood
10 Sun 13:30 League Home Dorking
12 Tue 19:45 League Away Bedfont Sports

The friday and sunday games are now postponed but they still have a game virtually every other day for the next 2 months! Half of them requiring Boat and/or plane trips, followed by coach journeys must make for a logistical nightmare. 13 games in hand on one of the clubs above them. Looking through thier fixture list they have had as many postponements as games. They even reached the mainland and had a game called off at about 1 o'clock. Surely on even thier good attendances this level of financial outlay cannot go on for long.
P.S The draw tomorrow could be good. If they were to beat Walsall Wood in the replay there's a nice local derby possibility for them. Still left in the hat for the semis are........ Spennymoor. Ouch!

I don't understand why the game yesterday went to extra time if there is now a replay?
Are there different rules for FA Vase?

I dont understand with the amount of games Guernsey have left and the travel implications for Walsall Wood why they didnt decide on penalties? Unless Guernsey feel they can beat Walsall in the replay on home advantage.
If a first match is drawn after 90 minutes, an extra 30 minutes shall be played (15 minutes each way). Clubs may mutually agree, and confirm on the Match Arrangement Form, todetermine the winner of a match drawn after extra time by taking kicks from the penalty mark in accordance with the International Football Association Board procedure. The agreed arrangement must be notified to the Referee not later than 45 minutes prior to kick-off.

I have heard that Matt LeTissier funds their travel expenses - for both team and fans!
If so, good on him!

And Spennymoor it is...
If Walsall Wood are beaten in the replay Guernseys fans have one hell of a journey. I would imagine the team will fly, the fans may not be able to afford to. They do have a travel company that arranges away travel for the fans but it's not cheap. For those making thier own way there it will require a 226 mile round trip on the ferry to Pompey and a 633 mile round trip from Pompey to Spennymoor. Obviously Spennymoor fans would have the same in the other leg. It would probably have to be done over 3 days! Surely this must be an English record for a domestic competition, should it happen of course.
