Fair play to Karen. Personally, its tittle tattle and should be left as is, but each to their own.

Serious question. Does anyone think the disappointment of last season hasnt gone away, and Saturday is a continuation of that frustration??

Possibly. I mean we didn’t have the best of pre-seasons result wise either (yes I know results don’t matter in pre-season but people still come to watch and expect to win football matches regardless of the opposition and occasion, and negative comments/mumblings were lingering around then.) We’re an impatient society these days and expect miracles to happen overnight of course.

To put it into perspective it was one game and it was a cup game, I was angry myself at the time however now the dust has settled a bit as disappointing as it was I think better a performance like that came in the cup compared to the league. That said we were all angry at such a poor performance at the time and then the fact some of the players did not not bother applauding the fans at the end.

I watched the second half of the game from the bar so didn’t hear any so called ‘abuse’ but think the statement is a knee jerk reaction and what could have been dealt with in a more private matter has been completely blow out of context and now made us look a bit foolish as a club. No doubt the Halesowen News will be all over this.

Probably at least partly to do with it.

Though last season, even before everyone's wife's favourite player decided to take up Greco-Roman there were more than a few hints of tension online between some fans and the more fiery players (who's number we added to over the close season) and staff.

Another factor could be that everything in society is about to fall apart and that's weighing on our collective subconcious.

But that might just me being negative.

Good lord......Societal collapse.....just need the monkeys to take over now.
I suppose given the negativity of the last three years in the world, its entirely possibly. But the reality is, we'll be fine and the Governments will change....
I think we bought a dream in Pauls first season,a brand new club and team that could have actually won something. That has now been snatched away three times. Im frustrated I suppose, but Im more patient than others. Its a bit of a tinder box all round. I cant speak about all the twatter rubbish, cos thank god im not involved. Definitely I had flashes of last year on Saturday, but I suppose thats natural given how recent it is.

Anyhoo. Onwards and upwards. Itll make sense one day.

I can only speak for myself, but last season has gone. A line has been drawn, it's forgotten about, and has no relevance.

The first two games we looked really good, everything was positive, and I was beginning to be cautiously optimistic. Then Saturdays off the field events happened.

At no stage has my frustration and anger (regarding the off field matters) been due to anything that happened last season.

I don't even believe the result or performance had anything to do with how I felt, poor performances and results happen. Players don't purposely play poor, and managers don't purposely lose games. They're humans, make mistakes, and aren't robots. These things happen.

I've just had the statement explained to me, and it makes more sense now, and I'm less confused and baffled by it. I'm still not impressed with the actions of a couple of players, and the way players didn't applaud the fans, but that's gone. It's in the past. We move on, and we look forward to trying to earn 3 points tomorrow.

Really nice to speak to Karen today about last week's shenanigans. She really does have this club at heart at all times. Although we all have differing views regarding what did/didn't happen and of the resulting statement there can be no doubting that it was released with the right intentions. Protecting the club and players is admirable. It may have changed the way we are perceived from outside Halesowen, but as fans we can show, everywhere we go, and with our own welcoming atmosphere that we are still the number one supporters in this league. By a country mile. Only 2 other games broke 200 today and those 2 added together didn't reach our total. Onwards.
