I hope so. Leads by example, although never one for shouting at people and quiet on the pitch. Nor is he reckless and rash.

Really chuffed with him staying. Puts some of our recent "greats" in the shade somewhat.

I think Quaynor is a left back. If so, that’s a very strong back line we’ve assembled. I’d like to see Ezewele retained as he can play both sides, Dan Brookes, and Dan Whitehouse, and that’s our defence covered off.

Nah, Evans for captain no question. A natural successor.

Heard a whisper than Brookes is going to Bewdley on loan. No idea how true this is, but it’s from a source I trust who told me Turton was likely weeks before it was confirmed.

He also reckons we’re talking to Kieran Cook but that he has offers from Leamington (to re-sign) and Chasetown. Having seen him play for Darlaston, I reckon that would be a great signing to compensate for the loss of flair with Finn and (presumably) Holmes, but Leamington in the box seat apparently.

Probably all horseshit, but entertains me at least in the absence of football!

The Cook stuff checked out insofar as he signed for Leamington yesterday!

Evo, Evo!
Great news! He was a little indifferent towards the end of last season but definitely up there as the best player for us over the last couple of years. Brilliant!

Personally gutted McCone has gone, he’s a seriously good centre half at this level, people need to avoid letting his moment of madness cloud that.

You can lose players for a tenner a week at this level, it’s what it is.

It’s who replaces him that will tell us where the club is heading quality wise.
