Re: Lost for words.
If a change at the top is to be made, surely this is the season to do it with only 1 team being relegated?
It allows a new management team time and patience to work with the squad and gain some credibilty/pride back in the performances.
Will the powers that be seize the opportunity?

Re: Lost for words.
To echo the other comments fair play to Asa for coming on here and making an apology on behalf of the players and trying to take the pressure off the management - true legend of the club and one player who does not need to apologise.
So to take from that it appears that JH will be staying on which is an absolute joke. It would appear that almost all fans are now against him remaining in charge (those that still want him in are deluded or must be Stour fans) so the club need to come out and justify on what grounds WHY he must remain.
If the club are happy to just sit back and watch us slide into oblivion then fair enough I suspect if you have no ambition and happy to keep losing but at least come out and say it.

Re: Lost for words.
I fear the problems run much deeper. I am no admirer of the current style of football but even if John Hlll goes we still have the existing regime in charge. Do you really believe anybody will do better than John and Matt? They are doing the best they can with limited resources. We have an owner who is banned from football (which is quite an achievement ) and a bunch of sycophants surrounding him. I have supported the club for 35 years and I never knew till now that "volunteering" was the only criterion of a true fan.

I am not an expert in non-league football I must admit so cannot come out and say who would be better but surely anyone is worth a try in the sense of trying something different.
No-one can deny that both JH and MC have done good things for the club over the years but things move on and times change - they have both more than served their time here and it's time for them to go. They should have gone a while ago and at least in the summer and now it's gone too far.
As for the volunteers or officials of the club I do not have any personal problem with any of them. They all work hard and give up their spare time to promote the club so for that reason I cannot fault them, it's on the pitch where the problem lies for me.

I have no personal problems with any of the officials. I have never met any of them and don't want to. I am just going on what I see on this forum. They seem clear that if you don't agree with them you're not welcome anymore. Fans are voting with their feet.

Re: Lost for words.
It would appear to me that John Hill had a very successful style of play that served him very well at a certain level and with certain players (eg. Iyseden and Ben10, Curtis Tilt, Tom Tonks) which got us promotion from the league below.
It seems that over the last season and a bit, this 'style' has been 'found out' by other teams at this level, so in pre-season Hill tried to get the team playing football, but as soon as the season starts and we lose some games, Hill has panicked and gone back to hoofball.
