Club statement about social media abuse
From https://www.ht-fc.co.uk/club-news
"HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB have received notification that one of our players have become the target of abusive and derogatory messages by individuals via social media.
As a club we pride ourselves on following the FA's Respect Code of Conduct and will not tolerate any abuse toward or bullying of players, staff or officials. The club would also take appropriate action against anyone using threatening or abusive behaviour or language whilst using the club's social media accounts.
We will be investigating this matter and seeking to take appropriate action against the individuals involved."
I've no idea what this is all about, but it's all very disappointing we're always talking about all this disharmony all the time and not about football.

Whatever has happened, any abuse is appalling. I am staggered that the manager has commented on Twitter and implied who he thinks it is. In my opinion that is also totally unacceptable. If he is proven to be wrong and it isn't who he thinks, I hope he has the decency to apologise afterwards

'I wonder who that was, as if we all couldn't guess'
Why does he need to say that? Why say anything at all? There seems to be a problem at the Yeltz, at all levels, that people with responsibility don't seem to understand that their own social media accounts aren't their own personal accounts in the normal sense. You have to be careful with what you say. If you are the manager, or set yourself up to be somebody with responsibility, criticism is going to happen and you either accept that, or don't be a manager etc. You can't just post whatever you want to.
But like I've always said, just as the abuse of the fans is appalling, so is abuse of the players and the staff

Not seen anything from the Club condemning threats issued to supporters (and yes, high ranking Club officials do know about it).

The Bard of Avon wrote, in probably his most famous work; "There is something rotten in the state of Denmark."
Four hundred plus years later he'd have had to use Halesowen, instead.
What a disgrace all this is - it's a bloody game for pity's sake!
