Away games

Post by iangers » 29 Sep 2016, 13:29

Hello there, new to the site and new to the area. I'm the proud owner of a season ticket for this year and have very much been enjoying my visits to watch Halesowen Town.
I'm considering taking in a few away games over the season (this level of football is a refreshing change from the multi millionaire prima donna's of the big leagues!)
What's the deal with the supporters bus? Is there usually availability? What away grounds are particularly worth a visit? On the longer journeys is it allowed to have a beer?
Thanks for the anticipated help.

Hi,

A very warm welcome to you and so glad you have purchased a season ticket. You will find we are a friendly bunch, on Saturday against Nantwich Town you will find myself (Darren) and Rob in the programme stand next to the club shop, it will be busy but come and say Hello.

In my experience (though others will have different preferences) Matlock, Marine and Barwell are probably my favourite away days, many like Whitby but I haven't been there myself.

Regarding Away Travel we usually run a coach except for very local games like Stour and Rushall. Sheila Bradley is the lovely lady who organises away travel she can be contacted on 07983688219.

There is lots of info on the yeltz.co.uk website, there is also a very handy app you can download. If you type in Yeltzland you should be able to find it.

Hope this helps, if you want to know anything else please feel free to fire away.

Darren.

Thanks Darren, if you are the guy who sells the lottery tickets I met you a couple of weeks ago. I gave you a Scottish note which you and your mate took the piss out of (still took it off me though!!) I'll introduce myself next time. Great result on Saturday, makes a change to score one at the end instead of letting one in!!!
