He's never scored?
Sounds like he'll fit in.

I don't care about pedigree etc. Let's see if they make a difference to Halesowen Town.

Let's hope he's the new Troy Deeney!

Does he have a wooden horse? (comment is courtesy of Steve Clayton, RIP)

I guess that depends whether you think the replacements are adequate really

Unless you have been scouting Shrewsbury Under 18 or Truro games, surely you can't pass judgement until they have played 2 or 3 games?

You never know- in ten years he may be scoring against Man Utd in the Prem (or playing for the Dog & Duck on a Sunday!) ;D

I wasn't necessarily talking about the new Shrewsbury signing, but like everybody else I hope he does well obviously

Do you mean like JH knew what he was doing when he signed those two much sought after strikers in the closed season. One of which, Pearson, came from a higher level and was probably on a lot of money per week, and the other who was so memorable, I cannot even remember his name. They lasted a long time and scored a lot of goals, didn't they?

I shudder when I read the name 'Pearson'.

You also forgot to mention McGee. We've signed some tripe. But by the same token we've signed some gems. Swings in roundabouts, I guess. Some come off, some don't.

I think any manager signing a player who has played all of his football at a higher level would expect them to come in and do a more than reasonable job at this level. He didn't, and JH got rid as soon as he could see he wasn't doing the job.
