Monday 27th April 2015 will mark 30 years since The Yeltz first won the FA Vase at Wembley, beating Fleetwood 3-1. The photo's in this article show The Grove before the Harry Rudge Stand was built, the pitch levelled and the tiered open terrace built. The old pavilion was used as changing rooms and the side view shows the serving hatch for half-time cuppas. The floodlights had been won in a 5-aside competition that was sponsored by Thorn EMI Lighting at Alexander Stadium, Perry Barr.

That's how I remember it from the late 60's.
Although the swings, slide and roundabout were what kept me occupied.

Thankfully its nicer to look at now, whereas those of us that remember it, were nicer to look at then.....
