Skelmersdale away...

Post by RobYeltz » 10 Aug 2014, 10:33

For those travelling next week, here are a few thoughts from a Skelmersdale supporter. I really hope we can take a good following next week to support the boys!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looking forward to our first game against You, Do believe you take a few to away games. Make a change having a good crowd !!

We get on well with most supporters and many friendships have been made between supporters at Whitby, Ilkeston, Grantham and no doubt many more.

The only ones who have taken offence, and if you post on NPL Facebook page asking for opinions of Skem will be from Curzon and Mossley (six of one etc but they seem to take offence)

We are a good friendly bunch (we do have 1 or two knobs but who doesnt) and look forward to your visit

There is a good bar at the club, 10 minutes walk to nearest local, food is served in the ground and its quite good.

If you want to visit the "Local" pubs. There are two about 10 mins walk away The Busy Bee, not to bad saturday afternoons !!!but crap ale "Boddingtons" and probably the better of the two The Victoria, there is one a bit further up the road from the Vic called Skelmersdale Arms DONT GO THERE
We are on an industrial estate and the roads around Skem are easy to get lost on
So would recommend straight to the ground

We are a quiet bunch at home So look forward to a bit of atmosphere, but do take quite a few on our travels but seeing as we meet at your place week before xmas might not take as many. I will be there as always like a new ground

Hope to see you there

I think JohnC's limo will probably head to the ground. Might try out the Victoria if time allows!
