Welcome YeltzDocJnr, here's to a long time for you on this forum.
It's great you've followed your Dad's Yeltz passion, hope you're not influenced too much into believing Geoff Moss is the greatest ever Yeltz player
When will he be altering his username to YeltzDocVeteran?

Joe had really enjoyed the pics and had asked to register to say so, so we signed him up.
He's already a 7 year veteran of Halesowen matches and has many more to come.
If you'll excuse my indulgence, at an early match at The Grove, he was bored playing behind the goal and asked me, "How much longer do I have to watch this daddy?"
My response earned appreciative nods from the terrace.
"About another 70 years"...

There was a time when swings in the corner of the "Rec" would have helped to amuse a 7 year old until the Yeltz fever gripped.

I can remember them from my early trips, and my mother tells of playing on them when my grandfather watched in the 1940s and '50s.

Here's a grandfather tale......my mother passed away around 7 years ago, on the night before her funeral I was told with certainty her Dad had been HTFC Chairman in 1930s or 40s. I don't remember anything being said when she was alive and, of course, sadly it was too late......I'm still to come across anything that confirms this, pre-WWII stuff is scarce.

Another few trips to the archives coming up Chas?
I hope when you've finished wasting your time at the Underwater Stadium, you'll be back to your duties with the microfiche.
Looking forward to it.

Thats the intention, could even be a concrete jungle safari to "bear" for t20 finals before I return to the archives.
