Working party update

Post by wednesburystokie » 29 Jul 2014, 20:35

Just got back from another working party, got there at 3 left at 8 and AVFC, John C, Ant and Stephen were still there.

Red tractor mower back, so between Rob, Ant and myself pitch cut again.

Rob marked out the whole pitch again, the dug outs are having another coat, the blank advertising hoardings pitchside have been done one side of the ground have been painted.

Both goal mouths looking good.

Only gripe is the numbers again, today there were 7 of us that includes Colin and Sheila.

We've come one hell of a long way in a few weeks don't get me wrong, but without a doubt would have been ready now with a little more help and planning.

Have to agree.

Luckily we've broke the back of the major work, but the little jobs that need doing are often the ones where a few pairs of hands for a short while can make a difference. I know Chris has got a company to come in and do the grass banks and that will help massively.

I really hope as we have the monthly Working parties throughout the season we can get a number of people to commit to helping.
