A charity match took place in the sunshine on the morning of May 17 at the Grove, home of Halesowen Town Football Club. The Dave Parker memorial shield was keenly contested between the Yeltz Bar FC and a team comprising of former stars of Halesowen Town, The Legends. The legends cruised to a 4.0 victory despite the heroic efforts of Stokes in the Yeltz Bar goal. Goal scorers were John Hill, Delton Francis, Mark Danks and a penalty from Johnathon Aston. Yeltz Bar had chances to reduce the deficit in the second half, as the legends tired, but squandered chances to make the score more respectable.
After the match the trophy was presented to the winning captain Matt Clarke by Matthew Parker, son of Dave Parker. The match raised £350, between Leukemia Research and the HTFC, thanks goes to all involved.
