Unfortunately a voucher has to be issued if called off before half time. I say unfortunately because of two things
1. Most people enter with a tenner, and on exit would want eight quid.....as all the pound coins in the float would have been given out in change on entry the result would be bloody chaos
2. The main reason though is that on one particular occasion many years ago with a big crowd, the match was abandoned and we tried to give cash refunds. Well some of our 'loyal supporters' miraculously had changed age between entering the ground and the abandonment !!! Loads of kids suddenly became 18, and even more old gits had regressed to 59 !!!!

And so I hang my head in shame. I was one of the four JohnC has mentioned before at Chesham and got a full price refund although had entered at concessionary rate. At the time, it did occur to me to own up but their official was so reluctant to give us cash that I decide not to let on, petrol not cheap for a journey like that.old git wrote:Unfortunately a voucher has to be issued if called off before half time. When i walked through the turnstile i said it would not be completed as the evening mist had descended since about six.
They kicked off played a few minutes the ref held up play for a few mins to see if it would clear and then called it off.
I was partly lucky as I had managed to arrange two days work near London so was not a full round trip of fuel.
Also our players and management had made their way in cars as was when Ingram not coughing up.
I also did make the re-arranged game even thou mid week.

Tonight
Persistent rain through the evening will turn more patchy, but heavy rain is possible at times throughout the night and it will remain breezy. Temperatures will rise through the night.
Forecast rain due to start at 1800 !!!
