Clubs In Trouble

The Football Conference Ltd has issued the following statement concerning the membership of Hereford United.
The club has confirmed it will not meet the requirements, to which it previously agreed, set by the Board of the Football Conference Ltd on Friday, 6th June enabling the club to retain its membership.
"As the club was advised at the above meeting, the Board has exercised its unanimous decision that should the club fail to fulfil the requirements it would be expelled from the competition and the Company under Article 5.2.
At the Annual General Meeting on 7th June of the Football Conference Ltd, the member clubs agreed to an alternative Constitution for the 2014/15 season, in case of the above eventuality.
Chester FC will now be reprieved from relegation from the Conference Premier and Hayes & Yeading United FC will be reprieved from relegation from Conference South."


Will Hereford United go into the Southern League Premier with £1.3m debt or start again at Step 5 under the HUST? Thats if the SLP accepts them.

This also means that with Chester FC being reprieved and H & Y, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD may be in the Conference NORTH!

Lowestoft Town will play in Conference North. A bit remote whichever league but certainly more northerly than Hemel.

Unlike Hereford, it looks like Salisbury have been relegated only one division to the Conference South (although they are appealing). It's their second forced demotion in 4 years - #careless

Also this means Dartford would go back up to the Conference Premier, but there would be no further changes below.

It's a big shame for the fans, but it looks like the club didn't learn lessons from a few years back when they were demoted. I guess the Conference South will just run without them as it's too late to re-jig the leagues again.
