SELFIE has been announced as word of the year! This of course follows on from our very own version of the word of the year having an appearance on wikipedia as the towns 7th most famous son. I do wonder if the definition of SELFIE when it appears on the Oxford English Dictionary will be: A person that has punctuality issues.

Selfie was selected for inclusion in the OED in 1997 but took until now to actually turn up
