Too true....old git wrote:it was always a disaster waiting to happen !!! In my days on the board 10 years ago they were 800K in debt and clocking it up at an alarming annual rate, all supported by the ground. When they finally sold it the proceeds just about covered the debts at the time.yeltz85 wrote:Hearing big rumours that Worcester City may fold today, due to poor season ticket sales etc and obviously with whats going on with their ground. Anyone else heard anything?
Yet another story of a club competing at a level above that which can be supported.

Re: Clubs In Trouble
Would be the largest city in the country without a football club.
At least it's got the best cricket club but for how long with Sky, as in football, and the test match grounds moving the game into some regrettable directions?

Are there any non-league teams in the Midlands that haven't been ruined by money?Laurel Lane Lamper wrote:Bridgnorth Town

Re: Clubs In Trouble
Does AFC mean that they have already had issues and phoenixed as AFC Totten.
Two things.
1. Clubs need to live within their means
2. F.A. Should re structure all lower level football into more regionalised leagues even if it means
playing twice home and away in a season. May encourage more away following.
