it was always a disaster waiting to happen !!! In my days on the board 10 years ago they were 800K in debt and clocking it up at an alarming annual rate, all supported by the ground. When they finally sold it the proceeds just about covered the debts at the time.
Yet another story of a club competing at a level above that which can be supported. :(

BBC H&W radio reporting this morning that City currently unable to enter into contract talks with players and need to urgently re-negotiate deal with developers for new ground at Nunnery Way as it is unaffordable.

Would be the largest city in the country without a football club.
At least it's got the best cricket club but for how long with Sky, as in football, and the test match grounds moving the game into some regrettable directions?

Does AFC mean that they have already had issues and phoenixed as AFC Totten.

Two things.

1. Clubs need to live within their means
2. F.A. Should re structure all lower level football into more regionalised leagues even if it means
playing twice home and away in a season. May encourage more away following.
