Made his debut as a starter last night in the Carling Cup 2-1 victory over Reading.

looks like he hit the bar too quoted from BBC SPORT : "But the home side were able to repel any further Reading attacks and came close to adding a third when Ruben Bover Izquierdo went on a great run before unleashing a shot which beat McCarthy but hit the crossbar."

On trial with New York Red Bulls in America....

He made his New York Red Bulls debut last night in a 3-3 draw with Portland Timbers, playing alongside Tim Cahill, Juninho (ex Lyon) and Thierry Henry! He was subbed after 66 minutes, but appears to have got an 'assist' for one of the goals.
